Taeil Jeon played a pivotal role in the labour and democracy movements, making significant contributions to South Korea’s development through his sacrifices, including filing petitions, participating in demonstrations, and his tragic self-immolation. To honour his legacy and express gratitude for his monumental contributions, a design was created that not only commemorates him but also ensures accessibility for the audience. Prioritising clarity, a memorial poster was designed to be understood without requiring prior knowledge of his background. The composition was enriched by combining various symbols associated with Jeon Taeil in a collage format, forming an eternal flame that symbolises his enduring legacy.
